Early Morning Practice(open) « Thread Started on Aug 19, 2007, 1:11pm »
Bella woke up with only one thing in her mind. She needed to go out to the courtyard and practice her new spells. Some she had made herself but most she found by searching in the library. When she finally arrived at the courtyard she pulled out her wand and started to rummage through her notes.
"Aha!" she said as she found a spell that she wanted to try. She then pointed her wand towards a bush in the courtyard and shouted Herbivicus! Just as she shouted the spell a spark flew out of her wand and the bush infront of her started growing very rapidly. "Perfect!" she said to herself with a smile. Then she noticed that the plant didn't stop growing like she thought it would. "Oh..not so perfect.." she thought as the bush grew bigger and bigger.

"Finite Incantatem" exclaimed Rose from across the courtyard with her wand extended at the ready. She was heading out to see Hagrid when she saw another young witch like herself test her abilities. She saw her going through several notes at the time, perhaps trying to find its counter curse but to Rose's expectation the spell she pronounced was enough. The weed like bush that rose without warning had stopped and begun to shrunk down to its normal size. She lightly smiled seeing that she studied well on her spells as her mother only expected her to. She slowly approached the girl slightly shy, but only intending to make a new friend.
" you know you should be careful with those spells, perhaps a new study should be in order for countercurses?" she continued being a bit more quiet as she suggested studying counter curses. She didn't want to make the young witch think she wasn't smart or such, but wanted to see if she might want to study with her. Although her answer would only speak what she completely understood.

Bella was getting ready to run and find a proffesor when she saw that the bush stopped growing. She then looked around to find her saviour and thats when she saw a girl standing there. She walked a little towards the girl then smiled as the girl offered her a new study. Bella then picked up her notebook and held them close to herself. "Thanks...Im Isabella Snow..but call me Bella." she said with a smile.
"What did you do to make it stop growing anyway?" she asked the stranger.

Rose blushed slightly at Bella who so kindly thanked her. It was the first time that she tried to socialize, since she constantly studied and focused in her notes and reading than anything else. The girl had introduced herself as Isabella, or also Bella, thus she felt it would be proper for Rose to introduce herself as well.
" oh it was nothing really...my name is Rose Weasley by the way, I believe Rose will be just fine " she continued rather slumly. She walked closer to Bella considering that they had finally initialized a conversation. " that spell is a simple counter curse for any other spell, at least one not completely devoured by Dark Magic. The words are Finite Incantatem , and should you ever have trouble with a curse like that or similar you should try practicing this spell to counter it. Rather common actually, but not many first years from what I have noticed may have read that far along the books." she stated seeing it how she was already in her second reading for most of her books.
She noticed Rose was getting late for her meeting with Hagrid, but she didn't want to leave her new friend behind. " hey Bella, I'm actually heading over to see Hagrid, his a very close friend of my mum and dad, maybe we can talk more on our way there, if that would be alright with you. We can discuss some study times, perhaps forshadowe some spells you might want to practice with. " she delightfully added. Rose actually enjoyed practicing spells frequently, it was how she managed to be pretty good in charms of many subjects.
