General site rules
1) Your character will be sorted according to the characters personality. You do not get to decide the house they get.
2) Students must be aged between 11 and 17
3) Make a profile BEFORE you actually RP. You are only allowed to have one character on one account. If you wish to play more than one characters you have to make a different account.
4) Respect authority, the admin and staff members are here to make this board run smoothly so that everyone can have fun. So if a staff member send you a small warning if anything is wrong, be a sport and don't give them hard time.
5) Do NOT ask me to be all powerful! Not everyone can be animagus, metamorphmagus, half veela etc. I will be keeping an eye on this and if you wanna be half something PM me with a good reason why!
6) Put the name of your character in the display name on your profile. No 'witchgirl7', 'dracofan' or such. Also, it is expected that you acquire a sig and avatar. And please no anime characters, only real people.
7) If you will not apply for a character within a week after being registered your character and account will be deleted, or if cannon someone else will get the chance to apply for him/her. The same goes to those who apply, post a little and never show up afterward.
8) Your signature and avatar must be of your character. Or it will be removed. Also it has to be 500x250 at most. Otherwise it's going to stretch the board too much and will be removed. Also no porn or nudity.
9) Inactive mebers profiles will be deleted at the end of each term.
Role-playing Rules
1) No god moding what so ever. You can only conrol your own character unless anothr person gives you permission to do so.
2) If you are in a tread with three or more people please post in a pattern. It is unfair for one person to be pages behind in the thread. The moderators will be keeping an eye on this. But in classes this does not need to e observed.
3) You cannot use any spells beyond your characters capabilty. A 1st year cannot cast a patrinus.
4) Any use of the 3 forbidden curses and the sectumsempra curse will land you in a meeting with staff, possible suspension for a number of days.
5) Every post must be at least a paragraph (5 sentences) long. I do not want to see any one liners here! When someone posts a longer post it's annoying when you only reply with one line.
6) Keep your posts in third person, and please use " " when your character speaks.
7) Keep your posts PG-13 rated. If you wish to include some mature stuff then please put an NC-17 warning in the title, (put 'shellfish' at the end of your application) so that the people who don't want to read that will know.
8) If you're not that good of a speller use the spell check. That's what it's here for.

Warning: Violation of any of these rules will earn you a warning. 3 warnings earn you a ban for a week, and if you continue after that your account will be deleted and IP will be banned permanently.
