Nothing to do, at all. Carter sat in the Common Room, struck with boredom, not thinking of anything to do. He had only been at Hogwarts for a short time, and he knew of nothing that was very exciting to do after you were done with schoolwork. Then it hit him, he decided to go out to the lake. WHy hadn't he thought of it before? Really, he knew there was a lake, but he never thought anything about it until now. So he walked out of the Common Room and set after his destination: the lake.
He walked down the Grand Staircase, making sure he stepped over the trick stair that he only knew too well. In what felt like just a few seconds, he was standing in the Entrance Hall, next to the front doors. He pushed them open and stepped out into the evening air. It was about 6:30 and the sun was setting, and the air was nice and cool with a slight breeze. Carter walked over toward the beach and stood there, looking around at the scenery of the grounds.
The lake was flat, no wave was disrupting the surface of it, and the part of the sun that was still visible made the lake shimmering like a crystal. The sands of the beach were an off-white color, which blended great with the black color of the lake water. The Forbidden Forest that surrounded the castle cast a depressing look over the edges of the forest, but why wouldn't it?
Cater sat down onto the damp sands and looked out into the lake, thinking about everything that came to his mind, classes, homework, anything. He layed down, with his hands under the back of his head, looking up into the sky.
Jenine was wandering around the school, as usual. She was extremely bored and had nothing to do and no one to talk to. Being new was hard. She didn't know anyone and everyone she tried to talk to, let's just say they weren't of her interest.
After a while of wandering aimlessly, she finally decided it was probably best to go sit somewhere, seeing as she was getting rather tired. Walking down to the lake, she saw a figure laying down in the grass. Obviously she didn't know who it was so she just kept walking towards the lake. Once closer, she realized it was a ravenclaw from her DADA class. Not really knowing if her had even noticed her before or not, Jenine just walked right past him and up to the waters edge, watching as the water came in and then went back out...
The sun was lowering and now the sky was a pinkish-orangish color. The water came up and down, barely reaching his black Converse shoes. As the sun got even lower, a girl walked right past Carter, looking like she didn't even notice that he was there. He sat back up and looked around. She stood at the edge of the water as it went in and out. "Uhmm...Hello. What brings you down here? I'm Carter Christiansen, Ravenclaw 1st year." he told her.
Jenine turned around to see the boy who appeared to be talking. "oh, hello" she said quietly,"Im Jenine, 1st year, slytherin" she said with a smile.
She walked up to where the boy was now sitting and sat down beside him, leaning back a looking up at the sunset, and just taking in its beauty. Besides watching the stars in the night sky, Jenine loved to watch the sunrise and set.
"I just got rather bored seeing as I was all alone in my common room," she said as she leaned back, "but I should be asking you then same question" she said looking over at the ravenclaw.

Leanne was a new member, she had not been sorted, so she was just looking around. She accidentily bumped into Jenine and the boy she was sitting with, she said "Om my, im so sorry about that!!"
She was so worried that the slytharin would get mad at her. She ran infront of the girl and hoped it would all be ok.
Why'd ya have to be so cute? It's impossible to ignore you...

Jenine was taken by surprise when some girl bumped into her. "you know, you should really watch where your going.." she said looking at the girl. Jenine really had no reason to be talking to this new person. Being of Slytherin heir, she had no need to be talking to people she didn't like. But, seeing as she was so bored, she decided to have some fun..
"just watch where your going, alright," she said in a slightly pestered tone.
